Purged Manufacturing Capacity Slated To Increase By 60%

    FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Jan. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Madison Sports &
Entertainment Group, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: MSET) wholly owned
subsidiary, Purged Sled Company, Inc., has received $2 million in
snowboard orders for shipment to the Far East, Steven F. Gagnon,
President of Madison's All Sports USA division, announced today.  
Said Mr. Gagnon, "These new orders, supported by increased 
manufacturing capacity, puts us on target to comfortably meet our 
earlier 1996 revenue projections of $18 million."  Purged is in the 
final stages of negotiations to move its manufacturing operations to a 
new 35,000 square foot location in Irvine, California, which will 
increase capacity by 60%.  In addition to the expanded 
manufacturing operations in California, the Company is also actively 
looking into establishing an overseas snowboard manufacturing 
facility.

    Through its All Sports USA division, Madison acquired five 
snowboard companies within Purged Sled Company, Inc. in 
November 1995 in an all- stock transaction.  The other companies 
under the Purged umbrella are: Crown Distribution, a distributor of 
snowboards, snowboard clothing and OEM products; Mantel 
Snowboards; Eleven Fifty Nine Snowboards; and Dynamic, a state-of-
the-art manufacturing snowboard facility.

    Mr. Gagnon noted, "We are currently negotiating the acquisition of 
several additional snowboard related companies, and the expected 
close this year will put us closer to our goal of becoming the third 
largest OEM snowboard manufacturer."

    Snowboarding is now the fastest-growing segment of the sporting 
goods industry.  The market is currently estimated to be 
approximately $750 million worldwide and industry sources say it 
will double by the year 2000.
